Amazing and Durable Wood Stove!"I am extremely happy with the Hot Ash Stove! I bought this for when I hike/camp and also for emergency prep as I live in Florida and added this to my hurricane disaster gear. I took the stove with me on a recent hike and was very impressed.
While it took me a little time to get it to light, I blame that on simply being the first time I used it. I have used it since and learned how to get it burning much quicker. Once the fire was going, I was really surprised at how hot it got. In fact, I brought a gas stove and compared the two. Hot Ash got the water boiling to a roll about 3 minutes faster than my gas stove. The beauty of it is that there is a surplus of fuel when on a hike. My only complaint is that it is kind of heavy but the trade off is that it is incredibly durable. All in all I am really happy and would def recommend this product to anyone who likes to camp and hike or any one looking to beef up their emergency gear!"

This list gave us an idea…
Of course we are bit biased towards the Hot Ash, and have a lot of confidence in what it can do. Like how hot it can burn with very little fuel. So this got us thinking, what if we dare the people of the internet to challenge the Hot Ash?
So, here’s what we are going to do. Hot Ash fans and their friends are invited to use the hashtag #darethathotash with things you want to see the Hot Ash do! We will randomly choose your dares and broadcast it to the world!
Now, for a couple of requests. While we love our Hot Ash, we don’t want to die for it, so lets not get crazy people. We will choose any challenging, out-of-the-box dares that you people throw at us while remaining safe. Also no jail time. Not so fun, no matter how much we all enjoy Orange is the New Black. So lets keep that in mind as well.
The Hot Ash team is excited to see you guys throw at us!
Choosing the best sleeping bag can be difficult. There are so many options out there to pick from!
Well the people at Backcountry.com have compiled a list of how to choose the best sleep system for you. They describe the benefits of hammocks, cots, sleeping pads, and sleeping bags.
Give it a read. We are positive this will help you make the best decision for your next camping trip!

In honor of Father’s Day, we wanted to give a shout out to one of our favorite camping blogs: DadCAMP.
DadCAMP was started in 2009 by a Canadian dude named Buzz Bishop, who was inspired by his two sons, Zacharie and Charlie. Buzz’s blog covers all types of family-friendly topics, but this being Hot Ash we especially enjoy the Camping and Hiking section.
There’s lots of helpful info, but the best part of his blog is his recounting of all the mishaps that occur on his family camping trips. His sense of humor makes for entertaining reading as he describes the antics that transpire on his attempts at successful camping get-a-ways. You’ll get a kick out of it.
We also learned a great new phrase compliments of DadCAMP. Uncamping. According to Buzz, uncamping “happens when you go to a campsite, do all the activities at the campground, but come home and sleep in your own bed.” A handy term to describe something I’m sure a lot of us have experienced. Classic.
Be sure to check out Buzz’s blog at www.dad-camp.com, and happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.
The online shopping world of outdoor gear is full of great camping stoves of all sorts. Some are small, some super lightweight, and some inexpensive.
After researching many of these stoves, we put a lot of thought into the design of our Hot Ash. Now, we know it’s a tad heavy for ultra-lightweight backpackers, and it’s certainly not the least expensive stove on the market. But we didn’t want to simply copy another design and sell a me-too stove in an already saturated market.
We also know that tons of people make their own rocket stoves… and they are REALLY cool. Sadly, not everyone has a welder in their garage—not to mention the right skill set—to make their own. That’s where we come in. We took care in finding the material and tools to make it for you. We use high quality stainless steel and a proven method so that we can confidently tell you that your stove will work well—and will last a lifetime. What else could you want? Am I right?
Recently, we’ve had a couple of Amazon reviewers, who have not purchased a Hot Ash, give us 1- and 2-star reviews. Obviously, being bashed for something we’ve worked really hard on stings. And the sting is worse when the bashers haven’t even used our product. With zero actual knowledge of the Hot Ash, they potentially will steer other outdoor enthusiasts away from this stove that we use and love.
We believe the Hot Ash Stove is the best lifelong compact, wood burning stove on the market, and we think you guys—our customers—agree with us!
So, this is where we ask you a favor. If you bought a Hot Ash and love it, please go to the Hot Ash page on Amazon and give us a positive review. It would mean to the world to us!
