• Q: How heavy is the full unit, including the pizza oven, fire pit, and grill?
  A: All together, the full-sized unit weighs about 75 lbs (34 kg). While this makes it substantial, its modular design allows for easier transport and setup compared to a single, heavy unit.
• Q: How large of a pizza can I cook in the pizza oven?
  A: The pizza oven comes equipped with a 16-inch cordierite pizza stone. You can make your pizza up to 16 inches, but be aware that you'll have less room to maneuver it as it cooks.
• Q: How hot does the pizza oven get, and what's the recommended cooking temperature?
  A: The pizza oven's thermometer maxes out at 900°F (about 480°C). Our recommended cooking temperature for optimal results is 750°F. If you find yourself getting hotter than that, it's a good sign to stop adding fuel. This high heat allows you to cook a perfect, wood-fired pizza in just 2 minutes!
• Q: What kind of fuels can I use to cook in the pizza oven and with the grill?
  A: We have successfully cooked using firewood, lump charcoal, and charcoal briquettes. For the pizza oven, we highly recommend using firewood for that authentic wood-fired flavor and intense heat. For grilling, any form of charcoal works well.
• Q: Will the wind put out my fire in the Rambler/Rover Fire Pit?
  A: No way! The fire itself is extremely contained within the pit. When you're cooking, the collar will keep your flames safe from the wind and help to channel all the heat up to your oven or grill, ensuring consistent performance even on breezy days. This is a significant advantage over open fire pits.
• Q: Will the stand burn my deck or the ground underneath?
  A: The stand is perfectly safe to use on your deck. We highly recommend always using your fire pit on top of the stand to prevent damage to the ground underneath it. The stand helps to dissipate any heat from the fire pit. While many fire pits on the market require a heat shield or a designated fire-safe surface, the Hot Ash stand provides integrated protection.
• Q: Will the outside of the unit get hot during operation?
  A: Yes, everything but the lower half of the stand will be hot to the touch. You should never move the fire pit or stand while there is a fire or hot coals inside it. If you need to move the pizza oven component, use the provided gloves and handles for safety.

  A: After the unit has completely cooled, remove any ash from the fire pit. The pizza stone can be scraped clean of any burnt-on food. For the stainless steel components, wiping with a damp cloth is usually sufficient. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Regular cleaning will maintain its appearance and performance.

  A: All Hot Ash Stove products come with a lifetime guarantee that they will arrive free of any manufacturing defects. If a product is deemed defective, we will replace it at no cost. However, the lifetime guarantee does not apply to "wear items" such as the Rambler and fire pit grate, which are subject to normal wear and tear. Misuse is also not covered.
