It started with Tim, an engineer with a knack for inventing, and Ernie, a serial entrepreneur with a vision. After 25 years in the medical device industry, they turned their problem-solving talents to the outdoors.

Tim’s the builder—he once made a prototype from scrap metal and duct tape. Ernie’s the dreamer—he spots potential others miss. Together, they created Hot Ash and built it with a small, skilled team.

Their first rocket stove was all stainless steel—strong enough to survive a truck roll. Then came titanium stoves for ultralight backpackers, followed by the X-Grill and Hot Ash Fire Pit—each designed with precision airflow and serious heat performance.
